Why Barack is Different...

As a white woman, attorney, from southeastern Ohio in the racist part of the state, but a current resident of NYC, I'm thoroughly convinced that Hillary is the one playing the race card while Barack refuses to play the game. It is appalling to me what Geraldine Ferraro said. She should not only be fired, she should be flogged.
My Day in Westerville

I'm an attorney who came to Columbus Friday from NYC to do canvassing and then poll watching for Obama and wanted to let you know what's happened so far.
First, Saturday, 75 people showed up to be trained to do canvassing. It was amazingly organized with door hangers listing voting locations and lists of all the houses with the residents' names to go visit. Everyone was fired up and ready to go!
I could only do this for a couple of hours because then I was off to the main Obama office in downtown Columbus to get poll watching training. About 60 or 70 attorneys showed up for the training just to cover Franklin County. Again, everyone was fired up and ready to go!
I think there IS a revolution going on...

I've been thinking about this all the time lately and woke up this morning to find the following diary here entitled "Is It a Revolution":

But my thoughts are not so academic. I think that this country will never see the unrest that accompanied the televised horror of Vietnam or the eruptions that occurred in 1968 or even what happened at Kent State on May 4, 1970. Among other things, I think the intertubes make a difference. I think the fact that there is no draft makes a difference. And I think Obama knows this and has touched this part of us through his amazing campaign.
There is, IMHO, a form of quiet revolution going on. Come join me in the revolution.
